Anticipation!

Today is our first anniversary - an appropriate time to kick off our journal entries. We have the opportunity to circumnavigate the planet and we want to use this site to share with you the stories we discover and create along the way: the exhilarating, the mundane, and those that we are sure to regret. We will reflect on what we observe, capture what we witness, and find common themes and shared experiences from others like us whom we meet on the long road, and from those on a similar path.

To think we planned this adventure in just three short months makes us proud and more than a little nervous. Since we made the commitment to go, we have sold our house, put our belongings in storage, and charted out a course that will take us to as many as twelve countries.
